Muchísimas gracias a todos aquellos que nos escriben y nos dan la confianza para contarnos sus problemas y situaciones que están pasando al compartirlo te darás cuenta que hay muchos que están pasando lo mismo que tu. No te sientas solo Dios esta contigo y no dejara que nada le pase a tu hijo el enviara Ángeles y arcángeles para que lo protejan.


Te suplico que ores por cada una de las personas que nos han escrito que sea Dios quien siga dando frutos en sus corazones y para aquellos que apenas lo han conosido entendimiento de su palabara y aquellos que ya estan en sus caminos mucho más fuerza para seguir luchando en en espiritu.

Tu puedes ser el instrumento enviado por Dios a una vida necesitada. El Autismo ataca a 1 de cada 100 niños. No olvides que si todos nos educamos sobre el autismo podemos ayudar a muchas familias a obtener un diagnostico temprano y esto es muy beneficioso para el niño ya que la educación temprana es lo mejor forma de lograr un progreso educativo.

Por estudios que se han echo 1 de cada 100 niños en los Estados Unidos tiene Autismo. Ahora en día muchos niños no están siendo atendidos hasta su cumpleaños numero 3. Adquirir educación temprana es lo mejor para el niño dicha educación temprana aplica a todos los niños de edad de escuela ó más pequeños que pueden estar en riesgo de tener  una condición ó discapacidad en su desarrollo ya que si no son atendidos esto puede afectar de manera irreversible al niño.

Thank you for taking the time to contact me and share your views on autism. Like you, I am deeply concerned about the increased rates of autism among American children. I support efforts to cure autism, further research into this disease and help families access care, treatment and support.

In the United States , one out of every 166 children has an autism spectrum disorder - a prevalence rate much higher than even a few short years ago. I am alarmed by this increase and the fact that we know so little about the causes of this disease. As a member of the Congressional Autism Caucus, I am committed to raising awareness of autism spectrum disorders and the needs of those living with this disease.

I am a cosponsor of S. 843, the Combating Autism Act . This bill would coordinate autism research activities within the National Institutes of Health, and increase the amount of information and education provided through the Department of Health and Human Services. Doing so will allow both families and providers to benefit from our increased knowledge about autism, its causes, and new treatment possibilities. I was proud to work with my colleagues in the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee to pass this bill through both the committee and the Senate. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House to ensure that this bill becomes law.

I am also worried about potential links between environmental pollutants and increased rates of autism. For this reason, I have reintroduced S. 1442, the Coordinated Environmental Health Network Act , which will set up registries for autism and other diseases so that our scientists can identify disease clusters and their possible connections to environmental factors.

Thank you for your letter in support of the Americans with Disabilities Act Restoration Act (“ADA Restoration Act”). I agree with you that federal law should protect people with mental and physical disabilities from discrimination, which is why I was a proud cosponsor of the original Americans with Disabilities Act. It is unfortunate that Supreme Court decisions have misinterpreted the definition of disability as it was intended in the original law, thus excluding many people that Congress intended to protect. I am extremely troubled by the current Supreme Court’s pattern of rolling back civil rights protections for Americans and I believe that Congress should act to restore the rights that were afforded by the original Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990, and to ensure that all Americans with disabilities can challenge discrimination in our federal courts.

Throughout my career, I have been a strong advocate for people with disabilities. More than thirty years ago, Congress passed the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to help states provide all children with disabilities a free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. At that time, Congress set a goal of bearing 40 percent of the excess cost of serving these students. Today, that level of commitment rests at 17.17 percent. I recently sent a letter to my colleagues on the Senate Appropriations Committee urging that IDEA be funded at the highest possible level in this year’s budget. I will continue to fight year after year for full funding until the goal of covering 40% of the costs is achieved.

Over the past year, the Bush Administration has proposed several Medicaid regulations that threaten our safety net system and target our nation’s most vulnerable populations, including those with disabilities. I am committed to finding a way to block the implementation of these misguided regulations.

Last year I worked with my colleagues on the Senate Finance Committee to successfully pass moratoria on the implementation of two of these harmful regulations: one of which would place a new limitation on the types of rehabilitative services that states can cover with federal funds, including special instruction and therapy for children and others who have mental illness or developmental disabilities. Another one of the Medicaid regulations, the Targeted Case Management regulation, went into effect in March of 2008. This rule significantly limits federal Medicaid matching funds for case management services and will have a detrimental impact on people with physical or mental disabilities. I cosponsored a bill, S.2578, to place a moratorium on this case management ruling and voted for an amendment that was attached to the Indian Health Care Improvement Act Amendments of 2008 to place a moratorium on the regulation. The Indian Health Care Improvement Act passed the Senate and awaits action in the House of Representatives.

Additionally, I recently cosponsored the Economic Recovery in Health Care Act, S. 2819, which would put a moratorium on the eight harmful new Medicaid rules, including those that directly target people with disabilities. I am working with my colleagues in the Senate to find the best possible vehicle for advancing the provisions in this bill and making sure we eliminate or delay the implementation of the Administration’s detrimental measures. Overturning these ill-conceived rules as soon as possible is a priority of mine, and of the Democratic Congress.

Earlier this year, I signed a letter with a bipartisan group of Senators to the Senate Budget Committee urging the Committee to fully fund the Social Security Administration for Continuing Disability reviews, in order to reduce the long wait times that many applicants face. The long wait times that many New Yorkers face in applying for their disability benefits is very troubling to me – the disability backlog in New York State is more than 50,000 cases, and the average waiting time for a decision statewide is nearly 500 days. As a member of the Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over the Social Security program, this remains one of my top legislative priorities.

I will continue advocating for the rights and the needs of Americans with disabilities in the workplace, schools and beyond. I have not yet had an opportunity to vote on the ADA Restoration Act, but if I do, I will keep your opinions in mind.

As the Chancellor explains, we explored the possibility of using this years survey in District 75 schools. The feedback we heard from the many District 75 parents, teachers, and PA leaders involved in our survey design process, as well as from the leadership of District 75 was that this year’s survey is not applicable for District 75 schools, because it does not address some of the unique needs of District 75 schools. For this reason, we’ve decided to work hard over the next year to develop a unique survey for District 75, to launch next spring.

We are looking for District 75 parents to help advise us on issues important to District 75 schools by participating in some survey focus groups and working sessions. Would you like to join in this process? Dates are not set quite yet, but if you’re interested, I would very much like to keep you involved in this.

He visto su página y me llama la atención que no existe ninguna opción a nivel de mi país, solo aparece una asociación, la cual ya no existe y el teléfono corresponde a una Hamburguesera. Llevo año y medio en esto después de hacer mil exámenes y llevarlo a varios médicos, el CAT no arrojo daños cerebrales.Gracias por sus palabras, es posible que me desespere tanto que no vea los progresos, soy sumamente autocritica y no tengo mucha paciencia.

Pues quisiera ver ya que el se exprese o que escuche un cuento completo A veces siento que el dinero no va a alcanzar, luego respiro . En verdad quisiera ver el futuro y saber que tendrá una vida normal.

Mi niño tiene 3 años y medio y hoy dia dice mas palabra que antes, no lo hemos medicado por temor a los efectos colaterales . Aun no avisa para ir al baño .La neuróloga lo define como un niño con un buen pronostico y no un autista 100% ella lo llama una zona gris. Su diagnostico es hiperactividad con déficit atencional.(trastorno global del desarrollo).

Hoy dia después de mas de un año del diagnostico va a terapias costosas y  es una preocupación permanente, a veces me despierto en la noche pensando solo en eso, me amargo, me deprimo investigo mucho en internet algunas lecturas son positivas otras me dejan por el suelo, a veces no se si leer y documentarme es peor.

Me he convertido en su maestra en casa, después del trabajo lo hago de la manera mas intensa que puedo, en el almuerzo busco material didáctico, libros, cds, lo que sea para emplear en cada a mi regreso.. Trato de que no se vea mi permanente depresión pero a veces asfixia.

Mi esposo es mas calmado, mas tranquilo. Es a el que le pregunto,
verdad que el nene tendrá una vida normal?... y el me asegura que si y con eso me recargo .

Mil perdones por desahogarme tan francamente pero esto me desconcierta. Otra vez gracias por "escucharme" seguro es la voz de Dios dándome lo que mas necesito.LUZ, ESPERANZA Y FE.

Le agradezco mucho sus palabras, créame que son de gran ayuda pues nos alienta a saber cada vez más del tema y a entender cada vez mejor al niño. Con gusto le mando mis datos pues requerimos el lugar más indicado para él y apenas estamos investigando dónde lo podemos llevar.

El tuvo una valoración bastante completa en el Instituto de Rehabilitación en el área de Comunicación Humana del mismo; ahí le hicieron una evaluación acústica, de aprendizaje y madurez, le revisaron ojos, oídos, nariz y garganta para descartar cualquier malformación física.

La siguiente consulta la tenemos con una neouropsicóloga en la que probablemente determine en primera instancia si el problema es emocional, o se requieran hacer estudios más especializados si es que se trata de un tumor o algún problema en el cerebro. La cita nos la dieron hasta el día 10 de Febrero del 2007 y no podemos esperar tánto tiempo.

Le agradeceré infinitamente si usted nos puede asesorar en el mejor lugar al que podamos acudir, así como información de algún foro al que podamos pertenecer para estar al tanto de todo lo relacionado con el autismo, así como de sitios en internet afines.

Hermanos acabo de leer su articulo sobre los padres que curaron el autismo de su hijo, aunque yo no tengo un hijo autista trabajo transportando ninos autistas.

Mi preocupacion es la falta de informacion que muchos padres tienen en particular hay un nino su nombre es Nelson esta criatura tiene problemas de autismo es agresivo consigo mismo se come sus propias eces fecales da patadas etc. sus padres estan recien llegados de Sur America y no tienen muchos recursos economicos estan ilegales en este pais pero como Dios no desampara a sus hijos estan recibiendo ayuda del Yackson memorial hospital, pero la ayuda es limitada sus padre no tienen ayuda y pasan muchos trabajos yo quisiera saber que libro en espanol podria recomendarme y si hay alguna forma de ayudar a estos padres con terapia ayuda sicologica terapias con otros padres, esto es en Miami, el nino asiste a la escuela que les dan terapia Hialeah gardens elementery pero aunque si hay ayuda hay mucho nino con el mismo problema y veo las paraprofesionals muy poco preparadas cualquier informacion que me manden es de gran ayuda muchas gracias.

En verdad agradezco toda la información que me envió y los links, ya los leí y se los acabo de enviar a mi hermano pra que los imprima y lea,. estoy segura le será de mucha ayuda,.gracias por dejarme su e mail, la verdad aveces hace mucha falta desahogarse con alguién quien comprenda la situación por la que uno pasa,.

Mi hermano ha cambiado mucho a raiz del autismo de su hija,. el era mujeriego, borracho y no estaba casado con mi cuñada,. ahora se entregó de lleno a una religión y ya está por bautizarse, alli le dijeron que debia casarse y asi lo hizo , llega al templo a hacer oraciones por las madrugadas antes de irse a su trabajo y dice que Dios va a responderle tarde que temprano.

Lo único triste es que su esposa no quiere ni llegar al templo ni orar en la casa con él,.ella es catolica y él le dice que si ella quiere seguir siendo católica que pues lo siga siendo pero pues ella es catolica solo de palabra porque nunca llega a la iglesia,. y se resiste a orar en la casa con él,. sólo una vez lo hizo y de eso ya hace mucho tiempo., a él eso le entristese mucho porque no se explica cómo si él que es el padre (que por lo regular los padres se desentienden de cualquier problema y son las madres las que siempre procuran el bienestar de los hijos, en mexico) él no entiende porqué mi cuñada no hace nada, cristianamente hablando, por ayudar a la niña. en fin,. gracias muchas por su ayuda de verdad

Hola mi nombre es Raul y lei su mensaje en los foros de Univision, felicidades por su labor es algo que me ha interesado mucho, tambien me tomo el atrevimiento para recomendar a una persona que he leido su historia y ella trabaja mucho y ayuda a los ninos Autistas y el abuso infantil, por lo que se es una chica que ha dedicado su vida ala investigacion del Autismo y tal vez pueda ser utiol para su organizacion que siempre es bueno contar con alguien como ella su Nombre es Sonia (smswindler) y pertenece al foro de Corazon Salvaje no pude encontrar su correo electronico por accidente lo borre, pero en ese foro ella es muy querida por su labor y todos la conocemos estoy seguro que les puede ayudar.

Bueno disculpen mi atrevimiento, pero creo que es bueno para ustedes entre mas gente tengan mas ayuda tienen.

Estoy de acuerdo completamente contigo y ahora mismo voy a ir a firmar. Tengo un niño de casi 4 años y a los 2 exigimos a nuestra aseguranza que se le hicieran pruebas en una clinica especializada en Autism Spectrum pues mi bebé no nos miraba a los ojos y nos ignoraba por completo, aparte de muchos pequeños indicios que tenía como el no tolerar que lo abrazaramos y cosas por el estilo; gracias Dios que los examenes salieron negativos [despues de una larga serie de los mismos] y solo fue diagnosticado con ADD [Attention Deficit Disorder] situación que esta superando poco a poco con bastante persistencia de nuestra parte y de sus terapista, pero el caso es que en el camino nos hemos topado con familias latinas que se encuentran en la misma situación y no saben a quien acudir, creoq eu debemos de crear consiencia en la salud y bienestar de nuestros niños y poner nuestro granito de arena para todas esas personas que necesitan un poco de información y sobre todo los medios para buscar la solución a la situación de sus hijos.





Estos niños son muy especiales, necesitan mucho de nosotros. Tengo un primito con este problema. Al principio pensabamos que estaba sordo, que era un enojon porque no le gusta que lo apapachen, no nos presta atencion para nada. Tengo dos sobrinos uno de 16 meses y otra de tambien de casi 3 anos, se ganan por dos meses con ese primito, mi sobrina sabe hasta un poco de ingles, sabe bastantes palabras, se la pasa mirando dora y barney , mi otro sobrino tiene 17 meses y tambien habla algunas palabras ingles como espanol, sabe pedir cosas en los dos idiomas, no muy claras, pero repite todo lo que escucha en cambio mi primo no sabia ni una palabra, mas de "sssssseeee" nosotros pensabamos que era "si" pero el mismo se fastidiaba de que no nosotros como tontos diciendole "si, si" hasta ahorita aun no ha aprendido ninguna. Lo llevaron con expertos y le dijeron que si tiene ese problema, actua como un bebe de 6 meses. Cuando lo llamamos no nos hace caso.

Hace poco estabamos reunidos todos en mi casa, estabamos mirando tv, no mirando cuando se salio, hasta que mi tia agarro sus cosas para irse a su casa y empezo a preguntar a mis primas/os, sobrinos y sus hijos por el nino, le dijeron que no sabian donde estaba. Lo estuvimos buscando, los vecinos nos ayudaron a buscar por toda el bloque, estuvimos tocando en casa y nada, le gritabamos, no podiamos llamar a la policia, sabiamos que no iban a hacer nada hasta que pasen las 48 horas por lo tanto nosotros entre la ayuda de los vecinos lo buscamos, como nos iba a responder si tiene ese problema? no saben el susto que nos llevamos, finalmente lo encontramos en la casa de una hermana de mi cunada, varias veces pasamos por ahi gritandole hasta que mi mama se metio al jardin de su casa, ya no sabiamos donde buscarlo. Es muy dificil la situacion de las madres con ninos con autismo.

ADEMAS NADIE ESTA LIBRE DE TENER UN HIJO AUTISTA YA QUE ESTO NO ES UN GEN HEREDITARIO Y HASTA AHORA NO SE HA ENCONTRADO LA CAUSA.
